Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund News Letter

The Trustees have been occupied with updating the web site for the Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund with new photos, more information about the Information and Support Centre (ISC) project and links to make donating quick and easy. The new website will be up and running in May. We are also in the process of completing some new leaflets and will be launching a publicity drive at the end of May.

We will have stalls at the Patrick Stead Hospital on 31st of May and at the Halesworth Lions Carnival Day on the 8th June which will also carry information about our plans for the ISC.

Save the date for Nikki’s Strawberry Cream Teas which will be held on the 21st June and on 12th and 13th of July at Heveningham Hall Country Fair with Wings and Wheels, we will be in evidence with an information stall.

In September we are celebrating our 25th anniversary with “Music in the Garden” at Wissett, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs A. Witherby. It will be a fun afternoon and evening with bands, bar, hog roast and barbecue, so save the date on the 6th September.

The fund has received donations in memory of Ted Cockerill and Jean Veasey and donations towards the ISC from Ouse Bridge Farms and the Farthing Trust. Dee’s Den raised an enormous £2,462 in March. Despite Dee being unwell she and Billy and their wonderful band of volunteers have soldiered on. Thank you to you all.

The 50/50 winners in February were Mr and Mrs A. Witherby, Mrs P Townsend, and Denise Rosedale. In March the winners were Micheal Sharpley, Mr and Mrs J Mendham and Tony Wiggins.
