Welcome to
Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund

Our Charity

Our innovative charity was set up in 1989 to provide equipment, care and practical support for patients approaching the end of their lives, as well as their families.

We provide a flexible and rapid response and give people a choice of where they receive their care, whether in their own home or within sheltered housing or a care home. We support people with life-limiting conditions, where treatment is not focused on a cure but on quality of life, and will offer help controlling difficult symptoms and providing extra care wherever it is needed.

HCNCF serves patients registered with Cutlers Hill Surgery. The support we receive from local people is the key to our success, and their fundraising and donations are essential to our work.

Chair Dr Richard Kell

“After 27 years, the charity’s primary purpose remains funding extra care, complementary therapy support and some equipment for people who wish to remain in their own homes, with dignity and comfort, at the end of their lives.

“Having raised more than £700,000 in just three years, we now intend to build and open the information and support centre by early 2018. This will offer information and holistic support to people with cancer and any other life changing illness, as well as to their carers and families.”
