News Update – 20th May 2015

Halesworth Rising

The Halesworth Rising event on 21st March was very successful with over 350 people attending. The Halesworth Health project was one of many exciting proposed developments on show and was well received.  Dr Sanjay Kaushal of Castlemeadow Care, the preferred health and care provider, was on the Halesworth Health stall all day and people appreciated the opportunity to discuss with him his proposed plans for new purpose built health and care facilities.

Public consultation

Great Yarmouth and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is the organisation that decides what services should be provided and paid for by the NHS. They are soon to open a public consultation about health and care services over the whole area. This will include discussion about community services and community hospitals. Each household should receive a document explaining their proposals, which the CCG have developed after holding many meetings with health and care professionals and other key personnel across the region.  The CCG document will also be available in GP surgeries and libraries.

The public consultation will run between June 3rd and September 2nd 2015.

The important news is that the CCG are holding a public meeting on the 7th July at The Cut in Halesworth from 7-9 pm.

It’s really important to attend if you wish to hear more about their proposals and is a chance to ask questions, having read the CCG document.
